Marsali Hancock Participates in Microsoft Online Privacy Briefing
Featured Speaker was Brendon Lynch
iKeepSafe President Marsali Hancock attended Microsoft’s “Online Privacy — The Current and Future State of Play” briefing yesterday in Washington, D.C.
The featured speaker was Brendon Lynch, Senior Director, Privacy Strategy for Microsoft Trustworthy Computing. Mr. Lynch discussed Microsoft’s approach to privacy, cloud computing and behavioral advertising.
“The privacy briefing was an educational event,” Ms. Hancock said. “We appreciate Microsoft’s thought leadership on online data privacy, and we encourage parents and children to keep current on these issues to have a safer online experience.”
According to an April 2010 data privacy white paper from Microsoft, the company believes greater privacy can be achieved “through a combination of innovative technology, collaboration, legislation, policies and practices, training, and guidance.”
